Cross Trailers is expanding production with the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Iowa — a move built to keep pace with growing demand across the Midwest and beyond.

Why Iowa

Adding a second production facility alongside our Elkhart, Indiana operation puts Cross closer to a large share of our dealer network and customer base in the upper Midwest. That proximity translates directly into shorter lead times and more consistent product availability — two things that matter as much to a dealer managing inventory as they do to a buyer waiting on a build.

“Expanding into Iowa allows us to better serve our Midwest customers with improved delivery times and increased product availability,” said Terry Lovely, Sales Manager at Cross Trailers. “We’re excited to strengthen our local presence and contribute to the regional economy with new job opportunities.”

What It Means for Dealers and Customers
  • Faster turnaround on orders shipping to Midwest dealers
  • More production capacity to support the full Alpha, Beta, and Echo lineup as demand grows
  • New job opportunities in the local Iowa economy, alongside continued investment in our Indiana facility
Built on the Same Standard

A second facility doesn’t mean a second standard. Every trailer built in Iowa goes through the same construction process, the same quality checks, and carries the same Cross Trailers warranty as a trailer built in Elkhart. Growth is only worth pursuing if it doesn’t cost the thing that got us here — consistent, dependable builds dealers and customers can count on.

Looking Ahead

This expansion is about keeping up with where our dealer network is growing, not changing direction. As always, Cross Trailers remains committed to selling exclusively through our independent dealer network — this facility exists to support that network better, not to change how customers get a Cross trailer.
